'Silenzio Bruno' - Luca | TikTok Trend

Posted by Matt Ryan on

How did a catchphrase from the Pixar movie Luca go so, so viral on TikTok?! Let's find out.

Throughout Luca, the Italian mantra "silenzio Bruno" is used to silence the voice of doubt in the main character's mind. So in this TikTok trend, it's all about hearing motivation from others – and eventually believing it, when they ask "can you hear it?" and that voice of doubt is gone. ("Nope, just you!").

And just like other viral TikTok trends, TikTokers substitute any sort of encouragement or suggestion in place of "silenzio Bruno."

Other TikTokers just use the audio to show off beautiful scenes of Italy... or question if Italy or Italians are real!

Plus, the audio trend's immediate transition into a slowed-down version of "Chiquitita" by ABBA makes it just that more aesthetically beautiful!

In just two weeks, this sound has over 37,000 videos made with it! Let's take a look at some of the most viral.
